A Step Above and Beyond Pet Care is an actual home setting. That means NO concrete walls and NO cages! Your pup will have free reign over a well-kept home and treated as one of the family. What's more, your pup won't be stressed out with hearing numerous other dogs barking or be subject to the overall bustle and busy-ness of a traditional kennel facility.

What sets us apart?

• We are NOT a kennel. Your pup will NOT be kept in a kennel all day. If you pup is crate trained and prefers to sleep in a crate at night please bring it for their stay.
• No double booking! If someone requests an overlapped stay with your pup we will always reach out first before booking another dog. Our goal is to keep the boarding experience positive and calm.
• Your pup is treated like a member of our family.
• You pup is not left alone overnight.
• Your pup will have access to all the furniture.
• No charges for extra walks and play time.
• No 2-night minimum requirement.

Boarding Requirements

• DHPP / DHLPP
• Rabies (New York State Law)
• Bordetella (“kennel cough” vaccination) – must be updated yearly
• Monthly Flea & Tick Preventative
• Spay/Neuter for all dogs >1 year
• Dogs must be cat friendly 

Boarding Policy

• All new boarding clients are subject to a meet and greet where you and your dog will meet us, our dog, our cats, and see our home. 
• Please let us know ahead of your pet's stay when you will be dropping off and picking up.
• There is no charge for the first night if you drop your pet off after dinner (5-6pm).
• If picking up at noon or later there will be an additional daycare fee of $40 added to your invoice.
• We understand schedules can change at a moments notice. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your planned drop off or pick up time, or if you need to cancel. Remember we are setting aside this time for you. Failure to provide proper notice are subject to a boarding fee, up to the cost of a single overnight, of the reserved service amount. 
• $10 surcharge for all major holidays
• Bring your dog's meals (either pre portioned or in a container), bowls, properly fitting collar/harness, leash (no extendable leashes please). Please no toys or chew bones unless they are to be use in a provided crate at night (our dog will often steal them and we have plenty of toys to share!).
